Course Overview
This qualification teaches the skills and knowledge for general vocational roles in the amenity horticulture industry. Individuals with this qualification perform tasks under broad supervision involving a broad range of skills that are applied in a wide variety of contexts, which will involve discretion and judgement in selecting and operating equipment, coordinating resources, and applying contingency measures during work.

Whilst there are no entry requirements specified in the training package, VIVA Institute applies the following course entry criteria:
- Applicants must be minimum 18 years of age at the time of commencement; and
- Demonstrate the attainment of at least ACSF level 3 by successful completion of Australian Year 12 qualification, or equivalent; and, if overseas equivalent,
- Minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or PTE score of 42 or Certificate III in EAL, or equivalent.
Alternatively, students may demonstrate LLN levels by undertaking VIVA Institute’s ASCF LLN Assessments.
Course Entry Requirements

There are no vocational placement or work-based training requirements for this qualification. However, students will undertake training and assessment in a commercially operational horticultural business. Transportation for students and staff between the theory classroom campus to the workplace training facility will be arranged, and provided by, VIVA Institute.
